Science

Building A Reading Life

We are well into the new units of study in Reader's Workshop. The first unit in the third grade focuses on building a reading life-and we are! So far we've learned: to read as if books were gold, how to find just right books, how to set goals and how to track progress, how to share good books and talk with reading partners, how to envision and/or collect facts, how to check for comprehension and how to make higher level predictions. Here are a few photos of classmates reading with grit!
